Frequently Asked Questions
How are appointments scheduled?
We try to schedule appointments for effectiveness and convenience. We have found that preschool and young school-age children often have better dental experiences in the morning because they are fresher and more alert. Having morning appointments also allows our team the time we need to establish rapport and trust with each patient. We strongly value the time of our families and strive to maximize the ongoing trust relationship at each visit.
Dental appointments are an excused absence from school, but we attempt to minimize patients missing school due to our strong preventative educational program. We have found that regular dental care can keep missing school to a minimum. For verification of your child’s dental visit we provide written school excuses.
We strongly value the time of each patient and their family. Due to reserving specific appointment times exclusively for each patient, we require 24 hour advance notification if appointments need to be changed. Each patient is extremely important to us and we need to ensure all patients receive the care they need.
Do I stay with my child during the visit?
We encourage you to come back with your child during the initial examination and cleaning appointments. We want everyone to know how our team values long-term relationships with patients and their families. We have found that future appointments often are more effective when our team members guide the patient through their dental experience. We recognize the uniqueness of each patient and will consider every situation on an individual basis.
What about finances and dental insurance?
We currently participate in many insurance plans (including Hoosier Healthwise) and are pleased to offer filing service to your dental insurance as a courtesy to our patients. We accept all insurance and non insurance patients offering optional payment terms for those not covered at 100%. We accept cash, personal checks, debit card, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We also offer care credit which is an interest-free monthly payment plan. All children deserve quality dental care and we strive to provide many different payment options to allow this to be possible.
